ABOUT ME

Julie Patula

I would like to start out by saying I am an EXTREMELY blessed woman. I have the most wonderful husband and family anyone could ask for and I thank my Lord for that every day! In April 2020, my husband and I were blessed with our first baby boy and June of 2022 we welcomed a baby girl; they have filled us with so much joy! I strive to be a faithful person and to bring out the best in myself and those around me. I believe life is a journey about becoming the best version of yourself physically, mentally, and spiritually, and that is where my passion for nutrition and fitness begins. Currently, I hold a Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education as well as a CISSN certification from the International Society of Sports Nutrition. The CISSN is the premier certification in the field of sports nutrition and supplementation. I am also a certified ISSA Personal Trainer.

Health and fitness have always been a part of my life. I started out as an avid runner, then progressed into weight training which is where my passion and fitness goals flourished. I have always enjoyed nutritious foods, and it was a priority to stay physically fit. Unfortunately, I didn’t always accomplish this goal in the right way. I went through periods of my life where I fell into the fad diets and gimmicks like many people do. I quickly realized fad diets are NOT sustainable and eventually everyone will fail on them.

After several years of contemplation, in 2016 I finally forced myself to compete in my first physique competition. I knew I would need help with my nutrition if I were to compete and reach my goals in a healthy manner. This is when I met Dr. Todd Miller and Registered Dietitian Stephanie Mull, creators of “Metabolism Based Eating” – a meeting which forever changed my relationship with food and fitness. Using their methods, I was able to go above and beyond my physique goals in a healthy manner. I continue to utilize and believe wholeheartedly in this life altering, and more importantly, SUSTAINABLE way of life. Once I started changing my diet to match my metabolism, I was able to eat more than I ever had, while simultaneously gaining muscle mass and losing body fat. I am a Metabolism Based Eating coach and their science is what powers JP Nutrition & Fitness. I couldn’t be more thankful for the gifts and talents I’ve been given and I want to help others achieve their goals through this forever sustainable approach to weight management.

Metabolism-Based

Eating

Metabolism Based Eating is an alternative to the fad dieting and exercise strategies that plague the industry and is unique in that it focuses on FAT LOSS, not simply weight loss, and does so by tailoring the dietary intake and composition to each person’s unique metabolism. On the most basic level, fat loss is a math problem, and a knowledge of one’s own metabolism is critical to designing an eating strategy that will not only produce results but also will be one that can be sustained forever. Julie is an affiliate of Metabolism-Based Eating.
